What is the Anointing Apothecary?
The Anointing Apothecary is a communal learning space and storehouse devoted to the healing, and empowerment of Black children and their communities throughout the Black Diaspora through the dissolution of global antiblackness and the creation of new life-affirming relationship templates.
As a community storehouse, and functions as an ecology of resources and knowledges modeled after the Flower of Life. As an ecosystem of empowerment, the Anointing Apothecary balances ways of knowing and relating to oneself, and the Earth, that helped each survive through antiblack programs of daily life, and will help us move on from the ways the world has been constructed to be anti-life and disempowering.
In practice, the Apothecary is a space to give and receive information, education, relationship-building resources which many of us did not receive at the needed time. This includes building a spiritual and physical relationship with the Earth, repairing physical and psychic trauma from antiblackness, embodying well-being to one's specific permissions and capacity, and build community with and as Black people. As such, the Apothecary will continue to grow in the types of resources offered, and how they are offered.

Meet Brianna
I am a bridgeworker, researcher, and bodywork practitioner. I combine my passion for research and learning healing modalities to offer political and physiological tools to contend with antiblackness.
I created the Anointing Apothecary to share the ancestral and Earth informed tools, which helped me repair my relationship with myself, the evolving nature of my body, nurture the growth of my communities, my perception, and my sensitivity. I offer what helped me return and amplify love for myself as a Black woman while deepening my collaboration with the Earth, and my purpose in this lifetime.
This space is an act of faith and conviction that the medicine I need(ed) can support others looking to enhance their relationship with themselves and others. May this encourage you to enjoy the journey of being yourself.
